Fall Concert: K-1 Grades

 

Academy Student Ranked #2 in local Private Parochial Spelling Bee

Nuestra Señora la Conquistadora Academy sent two students to the 2016 District Private/Parochial Spelling Bee. The spelling bee was held at Manzano Day School, an area private school. Forty one young spellers represented twenty-one Albuquerque private schools. Margaret (grade 8) and

Briana (grade 7) both did an excellent job representing our academy.

We are happy to announce that Briana ranked second place among all the contestants. She did an excellent job accurately spelling words such as “affinity”, “umbrage”, and “Chihuahua” This win means that Briana will be competing in the New Mexico State Spelling Bee on March 19, Feast of St. Joseph.
